Christmas Story/Song time

Nursery to P3 pupils are calling on all parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles etc to help make the next few weeks feel more festive in our classrooms.

Could you record yourself: reading a festive story, singing a festive song or telling some festive jokes that could be shared with your child’s class?

We would be grateful of any volunteers. This could be pre-recorded or a live virtual meeting (class camera turned off).

Please email the school or comment below if you or someone you know would be interested!

Pupil Committees

Due to Covid-19 restrictions this year, committees are unable to meet so this year each class will take responsibility for a committee.

Each committee will have a tab in the ‘Pupil Voice’ drop down in the main menu. Please check here for regular updates.

The aim is to ensure:

– Pupil participation is integral to the school’s vision and ethos.
– Clear structures are in place to capture pupils’ view.
– Pupils have a range of opportunities to influence decisions affecting them.
– Pupils work as part of a team with a common goal.

This years committees will be:

P1C – Eco/Gardening

P1M – Digital Technology

P1M/P – Outdoor Learning

P2B – Modern Languages

P2R – Global and Local Warriors

P3M – Digital Technology

P3G/T – Health and Wellbeing

P4K – Digital Technology

P4R – STEM (Science, technology, engineering and maths)

P5C – Modern Languages

P5R – Health and Wellbeing

P6R – Rights Respecting Schools

P6S – Eco/Gardening

P7A – Outdoor Learning

P7G – Global and Local Warriors

Our nurseries will also be working to develop outdoor learning across the school.

In addition to this, the house captains will also be meeting regularly with Mr Wallis to make decisions and changes to support the whole school.

If you have any suggestions or feel you can support any of the committees virtually, please email the school.

UNCRC Article 12 – Every child has the right to have a say in all matters affecting them, and to have their views taken seriously.
